An early journey by the Barclay following overhaul. This was a welcome return to steam services, following the enforced diesel services as result of the failure of No. 6.

Austerity no. 6 arriving at Brechin. The first repainted coach no. 4674 a great improvement on the previous blue/grey livery it was running in.

Austerity No. 6 at Arrat crossing sometime in the 1990s. This photo shows two things the track has been significantly improved since the photo. Conversely the loco has not run on the railway since the late 1990s following its withdrawal for repair by it's owner.

No. 6 ready to depart Bridge of Dun. This loco returned to steam in 1991 and took over shuttle duties from the Barclay before working full services when the Light Railway Order was granted in May 1992
